(From Simpson Funeral Home)Phillip E. Harpole, age 80 of Oronogo, passed away on March 22, 2023. He was born on July 9, 1942 to Ralph and Emily (Furnace) Harpole in Carthage.
Phil was a very loved husband, father and grandfather. Phillip was a hardworker. He believed in the value of hard work and dedication, as his career with Schreiber in Carthage attested to.
He was a graduate of Alba High School.

Phillip met the love of his wife, Georgia, in March of 1965, and were happily married just three short months later on June 16, 1965. Together, the couple had three kids, and enjoyed watching the kids grow up. He enjoyed attending their school functions, including band concerts and football games. Later in life after retirement, he became an avid fan of the Wheel of Fortune and spending time at home with Georgia. Phillip and Georgia attended Purcell Baptist Church, where he previously had served as a trustee for some time.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Manda Jane, and a brother, Charlie. Phillip is survived by his wife, Georgia (Thomas) of Oronogo, sons Dan and wife Johnna of Lexington, North Carolina and Dusty of Webb City; daughter Marinda Harpole of Oronogo; Grandchildren Sam, Hayden, Chris and Marcus; 3-step grandchildren Andrew, Faith and Jessica; along with several extended relatives.

Funeral services for Phillip will be held 1pm on Monday, March 27th at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. A visitation will be from 12pm until service time. A private family committal service will follow at a later date at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
