(From Clark Funeral Home)Jeffery L. Franklin was born March 25, 1960 in Lamar, Missouri, one of two sons to Rex and Joreta (Reser) Franklin. He entered into rest on March 22, 2023 in Neosho, Missouri at the age of 62.
Jeff was a graduate of Crane High School and attended college at Rolla, Missouri. He worked as a customer service representative at Scholastic in Neosho. He was a member of Neosho First Baptist Church. Jeff was an avid sports fan, especially of basketball and baseball.
On June 16, 1984 in Monett, Missouri, Jeff married Karen Kristine ‘Kris’ Young and she survives.
In addition, he is survived by four daughters, Samantha (Paul) Myers of Wichita, Kansas, Emily (Colton) Frencken of Diamond, Dani (Kasey) Mayer of Lees Summitt, Missouri and Kayleigh Franklin of Joplin; his bonus son, Tyler (Maggie) Chaney of Joplin and grandchildren, Bishop, McKinley, Maverick, Baylor, Barrett, Lincoln, Landon, Tayler, Tryce and Myqui.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Tom Franklin. There are no services planned at this time.
Contributions in memory of Jeff may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation of KU Medical Center in Kansas City.
Jeff was Avery good friend. When my husband was, Jeff was known to prepare brown beans, as well as chickens d noodles for him. He will be missed by his many friends.
