Dale Fullerton

Dale Laverne Fullerton, 91, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage, Missouri.

Dale was born on Thursday, November 12, 1931 in Carthage, Missouri to the union of the late Clyde and Viola (Smith) Fullerton. He was a 1949 graduate of Sarcoxie High School. 

On July 18, 1950 he was united in marriage to Lavina Pierce and, together, they shared sixty-years until her passing on January 20, 2017. 








Dale retired from the Sarcoxie Post Office as a Postal Clerk after many years of dedicated service and was also engaged in full-time farming. For more than fifty years Dale, Lavina and children faithfully maintained the Sarcoxie Cemetery. He served as past president of the Sarcoxie School Board, as well as serving on the board for numerous years. 

Dale enjoyed fishing, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Galena Parkhill Church of the Nazarene and was also a member of Granny Lee’s Coffee Club. Dale will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lavina; daughter, Beckie Lou Fullerton, on July 1, 1952; son-in-law’s, Bob King, Doc Haskins and Howard Harding.








Dale is survived by his six children, Connie Harding of Joplin, Missouri, Dayle Ann Falmer and husband, Cal, of Republic, Missouri, Judy Adams of Riverton, Kansas, Jayne Haskins of Diamond, Missouri, Nancy King of Riverton, Kansas, and Mike Fullerton and wife, Robin, of Neosho; nine grandchildren and twenty-five great- grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services for Dale will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Sarcoxie Cemetery with Pastor Brad Hunt officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are grandsons Russ Harding, Marc Falmer, Chris Moss, Mike Moss, Doug Culver, James King, Matt King, and Darrick Fullerton. Honorary pallbearer will be Lloyd Coy. Visitation will be Friday evening, March 24th from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sarcoxie Cemetery Association in care of the funeral home.
