(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Judith Lynn (Judy) Emmert, age 82, of Webb City, Mo. passed away March 25, 2023, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab, Eldon, Mo. following a long illness. She was born January 24, 1941 in Joplin, Mo. to Theodore and Ermel (Hall) Ackerman.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, Charles Kendrick Emmert and her sister, Carol Ann Ackerman.
Judith attended MSSU in Joplin, Mo. and received degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. She was employed as an Accountant in the Joplin area for many years. She worked in Joplin at various places including Sperry-Vickers Corp., Hickey Oil Company, Tamko, Joplin Chamber of Commerce, Hookup, Inc. and in Parsons, Ks., at Day and Zimmerman.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Fort of Neosho, Mo., Teresa (David) Barrett of Jefferson City, Mo.; grandchildren, Selena Walls of Neosho, Mo., Jared Carey of Kansas City, Mo., Theodore Riggs of Joplin, Mo., Travis Barrett of Jefferson City, Mo.; great grandchildren Valerius, Gwendolyn and Lizabet Walls; Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law Terry and Ada Emmert, Riverton, Ks., Sister-in-Law Janet Emmert, Joplin, Mo., and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Judith was a member of Forest Park Church of Joplin.
She will be reunited with her husband at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Mo. in a private ceremony.
