(From Derfelt Funeral Home)The world lost a remarkable young woman when Kimmi Qualls was called to be with the Lord in the morning of March 11 2023.
Kimmi was born on July 2nd 1999 in Joplin MO. She is survived by Parents Holli and Travis Qualls, Fiance Bayley Lansford, Mother-in-law (to be) Andrea Lansford, Sister Megan Burrows, Brother Jacob Qualls, Brother-in-law (to be) Dilan and wife Amanda Lansford, Maternal Grandparents Gay and Steve (Termite) Wells, Paternal Grandparents Judy and Dale Qualls, Grandparents-in-law (to be) Jerry and Bobbie Mitchell, Aunt Staci and Jody Bingham, Ranee and Lester Wright, Uncle Steve (Bub) Wells, Aunts (to be) Jennifer Mitchell and Dr. Shantra Nuehring, Cousins Shelby Miller, Kinsli Bingham, EJ Wells, Slate Wells, Axle Wells, Sami and Justin Byrley (children Mila and Mali), Joel Cress and Dylan Cress, Nieces Wylie Burrows and Maizie Lansford (to be), Nephews Bridger Burrows, Harlyn and Arlo Mitchell and Marshall Lansford (to be), and a multitude of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by Cousin Lydia Cress (July 24th 2020).
Kimmi was an outstanding young woman who embodied amazing traits, pouring them into those around her. She was a top 10% graduate of Riverton High School in 2018 and was awarded the President's Education Award for outstanding academic achievement. She was an accomplished athlete, playing basketball, volleyball, and softball. She was a part of back to back softball state championships.

Kimmi was also an extremely dedicated student, graduating from NEO A&M Nursing Program in 2021 and completing her Bachelors in Nursing through WGU in 2022. Her short career in nursing impacted many lives in the local community. Her ambition and hard work were recognized by her peers, and she was slated as a representative of the Council of Nursing Excellence.
She was an active member of Grace Community Church in Riverton, Kansas, and spent her free time with her family, playing board games and caring for her nieces and nephews. She was especially fond of her dog Rosco, who she spoiled daily. She was a bright light in everyone’s life and was known for her organizational skills and ability to read a room and find a way to make any situation better. She and her fiancĂ© Bayley were inseparable, whether it was on the couch watching their favorite movies, playing board games or attending sporting events.
Kimmi was especially proud of planning the wedding of her fairy tale dreams and marrying her first and only love. She loved all things Disney and took many vacations with her friends and family embracing magical times with those she loved most.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 17th from 5pm to 8pm at Grace Community Church located at 6484 SE 70th St, Riverton, KS, 66770
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 18th beginning at 3pm at Grace Community Church Riverton KS. Graveside service immediately following at Quaker Cemetery.
All are invited to return for A Celebration of Life at the Grace Community Church.
