Shirley Daubert

Shirley Ann Daubert age 82, of Joplin passed away at home on on Monday, March 13, 2023 after an extended illness. 

Shirley was born on February 28, 1941 in Sarcoxie, Missouri to Flora and Udo Block. Shirley was the youngest of nine siblings. She worked at First National Bank of Joplin and Allegier Martin and Associates until retirement in 2015.

She is survived by her loving husband Ron Daubert of 30 years. Two children; son Mark Rains (Edwina) and daughter Missy Rains, both of Joplin. Stepsons; Todd Daubert (Lourdes) of Washington, DC and Mark Daubert of Austin, Texas. Three step-grandchildren; Sofia, Philippe and Marc all of Washington, DC. Also surviving are sisters; Christina Craft and Wanda Dennison and brother Rex Block (Dixie). And numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Irene Hughey; brothers; Kenneth Block, Irwin Block, Cecil Block and Teddy Block.

Shirley was a lifetime resident of Sarcoxie and Joplin. She was an avid china painter for several years and displayed her work at War Eagle Craft Fair. She enjoyed two-step dancing and traveling, expecially on curises. She most enjoyed visiting with friends and family and loved family reunions. Her favorite holiday was Christmas! She loved to decorate with Christmas trees in every room. She loved and spoiled her dogs, Minnie, Tagger and Daisy. Shirley was the center of attention and the queen of her house. Known as the ESP Lady.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Mason-Woodard Chapel in Joplin, Missouri. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation following the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in memory of Shirley Daubert.
