(From Daniel Funeral Home)Bill Carpenter, age 79, of Liberal, Missouri passed away May 1, 2023.
Bill was born August 8, 1943 in Oskaloosa, Missouri to Willie Albert Carpenter and Carrie Evelyn (Guss) Carpenter. Bill graduated from Liberal High School in the class of 1961.
On November 24, 1965, Bill married Karen Ann Bell in Liberal, MO.
Bill worked as a coal miner for Peabody Coal in Montrose, Missouri and also as a fork lift operator for O'Sullivan's in Lamar, MO., for 13 years. He was a member of the Mine Worker's Association (MWA). Bill loved watching the Kansas City Royals and having the boys home for deer camp.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; three sons, Darren (Tracey) Carpenter of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brian (Laura) Carpenter of Nevada, Missouri and Kevin (Jennifer) Carpenter of Peculiar, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leota McClendon and Wanda June Dunn, both of Ft. Scott, Kansas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
