(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Clara Bell Dodson, 80, of Purdy, Missouri was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday May 3, 2023 while at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was in Purdy, Missouri on February 10, 1943; the daughter of Beulah (Potter) Morlan and the late Jack Morlan.
She was united in marriage on September 6, 1969 in Purdy, Missouri to Kenneth Dodson; he survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church in Purdy, Missouri.
Clara is survived by her husband Kenneth of the home; her mother: Beulah Morlan of Monett; two sons: James Dodson (Amy) of Webb City, Missouri and Steven Dodson (Debbie) of Monett; one daughter: Lynn Conley (Kris) of Ozark; one brother: Dale Morlan (Ellen) of Monett; one sister: Janie Knight of Purdy; sister-in-law: Donna Morlan of Monett; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Jack and one brother: Darrel Morlan.
Visitation for Clara is being held on Sunday May 7, 2023 from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services are being held on Monday May 8, 2023 at 10:00a.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri with Rev. Lee Neill officiating. Burial will follow services at the Arnhart Cemetery in East Purdy, Missouri.
Memorial donations for Clara may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
