(From Midland Cremation Society)Gilbert Neil Shields was born on January 13th, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Fred and Florence Shields. Gilbert passed away on May 2nd, 2023, at age 87.
Gilbert served in the US Army. He loved watching Chiefs games and was a loyal Cubs fan.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Wilma Shields of Joplin Missouri; three daughters, Debbie Price-(Matt), Beth Durham, Jolie Mitchell (Bryan) and one brother, Frank Limbach. Six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
