Bobby Bunyard

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Robert James Bunyard, affectionately known as Bobby to his friends and family, passed away at the age of 34 on Friday, February 2, 2024, due to a sudden illness at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on June 2, 1989, in Guadalajara, Mexico, Bobby was a vibrant soul whose laughter and kindness touched everyone he met.

Raised in Oklahoma City, Bobby was a graduate of Mustang High School, class of 2008, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and quick wit. After high school, he found his calling at the RoadHog Saloon in Afton, Oklahoma, where he became a beloved figure, not just an employee. His dedication and warm-hearted nature made him a favorite among patrons and colleagues alike.

Bobby's love for life was evident in his passions. He was an avid fisherman, often found by the water's edge, rod in hand, waiting for the next big catch. His love for motorcycles was more than a hobby; it was a way of life. The roar of an engine and the open road were sources of immense joy and freedom for him.

Those who knew Bobby would describe him as kind, friendly, and funny. His humor was a gift that he generously shared, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. He had the rare ability to light up a room simply by being in it, and his presence was a comfort to many.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Darrell Bunyard, Sr., and his sister, Shawna Berry. He leaves behind his cherished mother, Sheryl Bunyard, who was a constant source of love and support throughout his life. A stepbrother, Darrell Bunyard, Jr. also survives. Bobby's absence will also be deeply felt by his extended family and the close-knit community at the RoadHog Saloon, who will remember him as a beacon of friendship and camaraderie.

A visitation and viewing will be held on Friday evening, February 9, 2024 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
