Christian Garth

Christian Montell Garth, age 21, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at his home after a sudden illness.

Christian was born May 25, 2002 in Kansas City, MO, and moved to Joplin at a young age. He grew up in Joplin and attended Joplin Schools before graduating from Joplin High School in 2020. He was currently attending Pittsburg State University where he would have received his degree in Interior Design this May. 

He was known for his talent as an artist, and always enjoyed playing video games. He enjoyed his time spent with his grandmother, and always had time for his brother and sister and their kids. He will be greatly missed by many.

Survivors include his grandmother, Mabel Garth of Joplin, brother, Delshaun Garth and wife Alexis of Joplin; sister, Tysheana Garth of Kansas City, MO; nieces, Arlynnea, Magnolia, Aaliyah, and Serenity; nephew, Cairo.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Randy Steele officiating.

Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
