Judy Galloway

Judith Diane Galloway passed away January 19, 2024, in Palm Springs, California at the age of 85, after a long struggle with breast cancer. She was born in Joplin, Missouri on September 2, 1938, to William F. Galloway and Jessie Sowersby Galloway. 

Growing up Judy helped in all aspects of the family's agricultural businesses, Rainbow Florist, Galloway's Greenhouse and truck farming.

After graduating high school Judy joined the Waves. She held various positions such as drill instructor and material management on Midway Island and on board ship. She received expert pistol shooting awards. She retired from the Navy after serving our country for 27 years.







Judy enjoyed reading westerns and living a western lifestyle. She loved horses and opened her home to many homeless dogs and cats. She served in a management position for the Golden State Gay Rodeo Association for many years.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and two older brothers, Rollin and Larry. She is survived by her brother Richard and wife Yoko and sister Donna Sparks. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.








Funeral arrangements will be handled by Weaver Funeral Home, Beaumont, California, February 22, 2024, visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m. and gravesite service to follow at Riverside National Cemetery.
