John Perry

John E. Perry, 85, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at his residence after a lengthy illness.

John was born on April 4, 1939, in Graham, Texas. He had resided in Joplin since April 15, 1990, moving from Stockton, California.

He was a medic for 30 years and was a Long-Haul truck driver before retiring in 2005.








He was a member of the First Christian Church in Webb City.

He served in the United States Army from 1957-1963 as a E-4 Medic.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR and anything to do with trains.

He married Maryanna J. Wight on August 10, 1974, in Carson City, Nevada, and she survives. He waited over 10 years to marry the love of his life, Maryanna J.








Other survivors include two sons, Frank (Deborah) Perry of Miami, Oklahoma, and Bradley O. (Tina)
Perry of Joplin, Missouri; two daughters, Kathryn A. (Shane) York of New Carlisle, Ohio, and B. Jean
Lozano (Lorenzo) Pittsley III of Jasper, Missouri; numerous loving Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great-Grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews in California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Clyde and Stella Jane Gowens Perry and five siblings.

Memorial Services will be at 1:30 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the First Christian Church in
Webb City, Missouri with Dick Weber and Jay Cruz officiating.
