Betty Mitchell

Betty Iona Mitchell, age 64, departed this life, Saturday, February the 28, 2026.

She entered this life on April the 6, 1964 in Ulysses, Kansas, the youngest of ten children to the union of Everett Emory and Bethel Iona (Cravey) Mitchell. She was raised all around the 4-state area.

Betty ran a day care for years in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She married and had a daughter, Michelle Pinkerton. She later divorced and moved to Noel, Missouri where she had a second daughter, Courtney Mitchell.

Betty was good, kind and loving person. A good mother, sister and aunt. She never met a stranger and would help anyone she could. She deserved so much better.

Betty is preceded to death by her daughter Michelle, her parents; four older brothers, Leslie, Gene, Amos and Edward Mitchell and a sister, Lula Davis.

She is survived by her daughter Courtney Mitchell, four grandchildren, Kayla Pinkerton, Adriana Moore, James Moore Jr. and Matthew Lambert, two great granddaughters Cassiya and Iona; two brothers, Raymond and Gary Mitchell, and two sisters, Lahoma Yaws and Linda Dueker, along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins and as well as an extended family who loved her dearly.
