Robert Z. (Bob) Faulk, 87, passed away August 15, 2014 at Freeman Hospital Joplin, MO.
Bob was born July 16, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Donald J. Faulk and Frances Lucille Armstrong Faulk. Bob was a resident since 1966 moving here from Lawrence, KS. Bob was a Sergeant in the Army (Air Corp) and served during WWII. Bob worked at the Swift Meat processing plant in Kansas City, MO, and a partner at Harwood Wholesale meats in Lawrence, Kansas. Bob owned and operated Party Steak Co in Carthage, MO from when they moved here until retiring in 2001. Bob was a board member of Innovative Industries, and Carthage Water and Electric, and the Can Do senior center. He was a founding member of Southwest Missouri Bank and served on the board of directors and a member of the Hardees’s Breakfast Club
Bob was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Alice Evelyn Schmall who he adored January 30, 1948 in Kansas City, MO they had been married 63 years before her passing in April 23, 2011. Bob is survived by four children Robert Faulk (Janet) of Carthage, Rebecca Faulk of Carthage, Lynn Chambers (Glenn) of Carthage and Sarah Faulk (Libby) of Memphis, TN., two grandchildren Crystal Campbell (Scott) and Casie Moses (Stephen) both of Carthage, five great grandchildren, Logan Moses, Scotty Campbell, Van Campbell and Carter Moses, and Emelia Campbell one sister Gloria Ann Ford of Overland Park, KS, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday August 19, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Family will receive friends prior to the service from noon to 1:00 p.m. He will lie in state Monday evening for viewing from noon to 8:00 p.m. at Ulmer Funeral Home.
