Thomas Haskell Arnold, age 80 of Joplin, passed away at his home at 10:40 p.m. on August 8, 2014.
Born October 13, 1933 in Dennison, TX, he was the son of Thomas and Jeannie Arnold. He was a Christian and worked in truck transportation all of his working life. He loved playing dominos, cards and bingo.
He and his wife, Rosemary Justus Arnold, were married December 2, 1994 at Miami, OK. She survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Robert “Reggie” Merrell of Tacoma, WA; a daughter, Linda “Doodle” Arnold of Hominy, OK; two grandchildren, Wattie Wildcat and Molly Williams, both of Hominy; two stepsons, James Bolton and wife Janice of Miami, OK, Charles Bolton and wife Ruth of Joplin; four step grandsons, Matthew Bolton and wife Rose of San Antonio,TX, Andrew Bolton of Aurora, MO, Peter Bolton and Isaac Bolton, both of Joplin; a step great-granddaughter, Violet Rose Bolton of San Antonio; and a huge host of family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. A memorial visitation will be held at Grace Baptist Church on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
