Larry J. Laughlin, age 75, Joplin, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital.
Larry was born July 28, 1939 in Joplin to the late Earl Laughlin and Helen Rogers Laughlin and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.
He worked as a truck driver for Beaufort, Churchill, Roadway, Yellow Transit and retired from Jones Truck Lines after 27 years of service. He enjoyed golf and was a member of a motorcycle club. Larry was a proud member of the Missouri National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Bobbie Bateman, Joplin, Amy Snyder, Ohio; two sons, Michael Laughlin, Joplin, Kim Laughlin, Seneca; two brothers, Roger Laughlin, Carl Junction, Bob Laughlin, Oronogo; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many friends.
Larry has been taken for cremation. Private family services are planned for a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
