Henry E. ‘Bud’ Burdge, age 56, Seneca, passed away at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at his residence after an illness.
Bud was born February 16, 1958 in Joplin to the late Everett Burdge and Mamie Smith Burdge and had lived in the area all of his life.
Bud worked as a self employed mechanic and could fix anything with a motor. He enjoyed tinkering in the yard and loved to fish. His family meant everything to him and he will be missed by all that knew him.
Bud married Lorraine Holbert on April 4, 1984 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Joshua Holbert and his wife, Heather, Seneca, Nicholas Burdge, Seneca, Jacob Burdge and his wife, Lizette, Seneca, Lisa Ward and her husband, Christopher, Neosho; grandchildren, Allie, Joshua, Jessie, James, Avry, Alyia, Payton and one on the way; his siblings, Bill Burdge and his wife, Phyllis, Linda Wilfong and her husband, Gordon, Eddie Burdge and his wife, Carol, Garold Burdge and his wife, Jennie, Nancy Jones and her husband, Jess, Charlotte Points and her husband, Tom, Dean Burdge and his wife, Kim, Brenda Martin and her husband, Randy; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Hornet Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Rudy Canki officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
