Glen Dale Vandenburg, Jr., age 58, Joplin, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospital of Joplin.
Glen was born April 9, 1956 in Nevada, Missouri, son of the late Glenn Dale Vandenburg and Susie Stone Vandenburg. He attended Nevada Schools and then moved to the Joplin area after getting married. He worked as a truck driver for many years, and also spent seven years in Montana as a rancher, before returning to Joplin where he continued as a truck driver. He attended North Main Street Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Patterson.
Glen married Debra Webb on May 25, 1984 in Nevada, she survives at the home. Also surviving are his children, Preston Sharp and wife Amanda, and Jason Sharp and wife Stephanie all of Joplin; daughter, Jodie Sharp of Webb City; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Kayla, Joey, Ethan, Ava, and Tristan.
Memorial services will be Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at North Main Street Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Hammons officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
