Donna Mary Drummy, 90, of Joplin, MO, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Donna was born December 13, 1923 in Omaha, NE, to Harold and Helen McKenna. She married her late husband of 58 years, Tom Drummy, in 1947. They relocated to Joplin in 1957 and raised three daughters, Sue Edwards (John) of Gainesville, FL, Patty Richard (Ron) of Joplin, MO and Barb Olsen (Rodney) of Singapore. She took great pride in her family which also included seven grandchildren, Kim Young of Fayetteville, AR, Kelli Hoskins (Dave) of Edgewater, FL, Tonya Williams (Chris) of Gainesville, FL, Billy Edwards of Ocala, FL, Chad Greer (Amy) of Joplin, MO, Kara Siebert (Rick) of Marina del Rey, CA and Alex Olsen of Dallas, TX. She had 12 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Her beloved sister, Dorie Kennedy, Omaha, NE, also survives her. Donna treasured her many wonderful friends and enjoyed playing in several bridge clubs. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church since 1957.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Father Justin Monaghan officiating. Burial will follow at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are requested to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund in care of the Mortuary.
