Robert Jack Patrick, age 77, of Webb City, Mo. passed away at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 following a two year illness, being lovingly cared for by Hospice Compassus. Bob was born February 5, 1937 in Joplin, Mo. and had lived in the Carterville-Webb City area most of his life. He was a 1955 graduate of Webb City High School and a graduate of Pittsburg State University with a degree in Chemistry. Bob worked as a Chemist for both Gulf Oil and Farmer’s Chemical Co. and later worked in Pharmaceutical Sales. From 1970-1973 Bob served as Mayor of Webb City as well as serving on the City Council. Bob served in the Mo. National Guard. He had a love for horses.
Bob is survived by three sons, Ken Patrick and wife Susan, and Curt Patrick, all of Webb City, and Jeff Patrick and wife Denise, Bryant, Arkansas, two sisters, Linda Storm and husband Mike, Webb City, and Patricia Holmes and husband James, San Antonio, Texas, two nephews, Mike Storm Jr. and wife Donna, Dustin Storm and wife Julie, and niece Amanda Taylor and husband Todd, all of Webb City, several great nieces and nephews, and five grandchildren; Charlie Minor and wife Julie, Carthage, Mo., April Farr and husband Bo, Oberlin, Kansas, and Erin Chism and husband Brad, Lindsey Landers and husband Josh, and Emma Patrick, all of Bryant, Arkansas, three great grandchildren, and his loving companion of 25 years, Judy Edwards, Joplin, her daughter, Shelly Huffman, her grandchildren; Krystal, Michael, Alec, Jackson, Hannah and two great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hedge-Lewis Chapel with Ken Ansley, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at the Carterville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 Saturday at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice Compassus in care of the Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home of Webb City,Mo.
