(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Cathy Arlene Windle, age 70 of Columbus, Kansas, passed away suddenly Friday, February 4, 2022 in Asbury, MO.
Cathy was born October 1, 1951 to Kenneth E Stevens, and Uhl Frances McCormick in Kansas City, Missouri. She lived in the area since 2005, moving here from Fairland, Oklahoma.
Cathy was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church in Quapaw, Oklahoma. Among her hobbies, Cathy enjoyed sewing, porcelain dolls, angels, bells, and listening to Gospel music.
On June 17, 1971 Cathy married David Meyers Sr. He preceded her in death February 14, 2000. She later married Larry Eugene Windle in Miami, Oklahoma March 1, 2013. He survives of the home.
Also surviving include her children Bobby Bittner of Nevada, MO, Alvin Meyer, of Asbury, MO, David Meyers Jr of Asbury, MO, Jacob Meyers of Claremore, OK, Arlene Holiday of Pueblo, Colorado, Darlene Emmett (husband Fred) of Columbus, KS, and Cathy Henry (husband Benny) of Miami, OK; and step-son Howard Trott of Columbus, KS; 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Bittner, brothers Glen and Merle Stevens, and sister Hazel Bratcher.
Funeral Services are being handled through Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus, and will he held Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Highway Tabernacle Church in Quapaw, OK, at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the funeral home.
