(From Clark Funeral Home)Patty Mae Risley was born in Neosho, Missouri on January 3, 1929 and entered into rest on March 10, 2023 at her home in Neosho, at the age of 94. Patty was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker.
She was a sweet Christian women, a loving mother of five and helped her husband in the ministry for many years. She was a longtime member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ. She enjoyed many hobbies over the years, painting, quilting and making Afghans.
On January 31, 1948 in Newton County, Missouri, Patty married Troy Risley and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2020.
Patty is survived by three children, Troy Clark Risley, Jr., Coralee Risley and Rita Risley, all of Neosho; two grandchildren, Clark (Tracy) Risley and Kelly Berges; four great grandchildren, Becca, Noah, Lynnea and Sophia. In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Darvin Peters and Kenneth Peters and three sisters-in-law, Anna (Cecil) West, Maxine Purdom and Sammy Lipscomb.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Dennis Risley; a daughter, Elaine Gray a grandson, Jeff Risley and her parents, Horace Bradley Peters and Ruth Estel Mitts Peters.
Private family interment will be held on Tuesday morning at the Neosho IOOF Cemetery, prior to the memorial services to be held at 10 am Tuesday at the Hillcrest Church of Christ, Danny Boggs and John Deffenbaugh will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers are Benny Haught, John Deffenbaugh, Don Deffenbaugh, Bill Reiboldt, Wayne Douthitt, Jim Scott, Bryan Reiboldt and Tony Flint. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Neosho Christian School, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, Missouri 64850.
