(From Davis Funeral Chapel)Thomas Earl Jepson, 99, of Leavenworth County KS, passed away on
Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at his home. Thomas was born on December 1, 1923 in Jennings KS to Hans Jepson and Ellen Lucy (Hunter) Jepson. He was the 11th of 12 children born to the parents.
All siblings are deceased.
Thomas married Frances V Norton on January 30, 1946 in Topeka Ks until her death in April 1985 with 5 children being born of this marriage.
Thomas later married Marlene Gobin on July 11, 1987 in Basehor KS until Thomas’ death. Thomas was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Basehor for over 60 years. He also was a Mason (Masonic Lodge) member for over 60 years. Thomas attended Hoyt Schools. He was a farmer for much of his life. He retired from the Department of the Army.
Thomas is survived by his spouse, Marlene of Leavenworth, daughters- Jenny (Robert) Forge of Leavenworth, Shirley Gustafson of Leavenworth, Sons, Earl Marvin (Jane) Jepson of San Diego CA, Darrell (Sharon) Jepson of Lamar MO, Dean (Barbara) Jepson of Platte City MO, seventeen grandchildren, twenty- nine great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances Jepson and 11 brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Donation suggested to: First Baptist Church of Basehor, 1410 155th St, Basehor Ks 66007 Faith Home Hospice, Suite 2B, 3600 SW Burlingame Rd, Topeka Ks 66611
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 9:00 to 11:00 am. Followed by service @ 11:00 am all at the First Baptist Church of Basehor. Pastor Steve Dighton will officiate the funeral service. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City KS. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
