Bill Cholley

William "Bill" Francis Cholley, age 65, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. 

He was born in Torrance, CA on Saturday, October 25, 1958; son of Russell and Elizabeth (Brewer) Cholley. Bill was a 1976 graduate of Torrance High School. He married Deborah "Debbie" Shock on January 18, 1981, in Las Vegas. 

Bill worked as a machinist for 47 years, first working on F-18s and B2 bombers for Northrop Corporation and then spending the last 30 years with Leggett and Platt's machine products division. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley and spending time with his family. Bill doted on his grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as "Grumpy".

Surviving are the following: his wife, Debbie of Pierce City, MO; daughter, Sara Cholley of Pierce CIty, MO; son, David (Chelsea) Cholley of Carthage, MO; daughter-in-law, Lisa Cholley of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Carleigh, Greyson, Millie, and Harper; two brothers, Larry Cholley of Phoenix, AZ and Tim Cholley of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Rose Witt of Palm Springs, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Elizabeth; three siblings, James Cholley, Sandra Cholley, and Ronnie Cholley; and a son, Christopher Cholley.

A Celebration of Life will be at Carthage Memorial Hall in Carthage, MO on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
