(From Parker Mortuary)Kenneth Wilson Gulley, age 66, of Joplin, MO, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Kenneth was born on May 10, 1960, in Mansfield, OH, to the union of Wilson and Vicy (Glover) Gulley-Williamson. Kenneth lived a life shaped by determination, practical skill, and a genuine care for others. In his younger years, he worked in the oil fields, where he learned the value of perseverance and the satisfaction that comes from honest labor.
Later, he spent 10 years working for Asbestos in the late 1980s, where he continued to build a reputation as a dependable and dedicated worker. After years of steady employment, Kenneth pursued his own path and owned ProTek Construction for five years before retiring. Beyond his work, Kenneth found joy in the things that brought him both excitement and satisfaction. He enjoyed racing cars and loved buying parts from MOPAR to work on hotrods and anything Dodge related.
Kenneth also valued the company of his friends and treasured the time he spent with them. He loved being around people. He never met a stranger and was kind to everyone, a reflection of the open-hearted way he moved through life. Those who knew Kenneth will remember him as a kind, handy, and generous man whose character was evident in both his work and his relationships.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Gulley; brother, Jon Gulley; and step-dad, Allen Williamson.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Keya Cunningham; two grandchildren, Allee Cunningham and Devan Cunningham and fiancé, Mercea Tillman; two great-grandchildren, Mikiya and Elias Cunningham; and three brothers, Mark Gulley, Jeff Gulley, and Jim Gulley.
Cremation arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.
