(From Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home)Myrtle Maxine Knott, age 88, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 2:25 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Maxine was born April 17, 1938, in Everton, Missouri, the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Viva Tennessee (Dyer) Knott.
Maxine is survived by her sister, Janice Schmidly and her husband, Ron, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, James and Viva Knott; one brother, James E. Knott; three sisters, Thelma Creed and her husband, Charles, Charletta Sanders and her husband, Kenneth, and Katherine Creed and her husband, Marlin.
Per Maxine’s request, no funeral services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
