Carol J. Jones, 86, Carthage, MO, passed away Thursday evening, October 12, 2017 at her home. Carol “June” Baker was born on June 16, 1931 in Jasper, MO to the late Cliffard F. Baker and Clara M. (Thomas) Baker. She graduated from Jasper High School, Class of 1949. She then went on to Neosho Beauty College. June married Loren Eugene Parsons on July 1, 1949 in Jasper, MO; he preceded her in death on December 9, 1984. June then married George Roy Dennis on November 29, 1985 in Carthage, MO; he preceded her in death on April 28, 2009. June then married Raymond Paul “Bob” Jones on April 8, 2016 in Carthage, MO; he survives. June was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Carthage.
Survivors include her husband, Bob, two daughters, Cheryl A. Thiesfeld (husband Gordon), Kansas City, MO, and Cynthia J. Hensley (husband Michael), Covington, GA; one son, Larry E. Parsons (wife Catalina), Carthage, MO; four grandchildren, Heather Vengley (husband Joshua), Kansas City, MO, Joshua Fain, Liberty, MO, Tyler Hensley (wife Kelly), Corpus Christi, TX, and Christian Parsons, Carthage, MO; and four great grandchildren, Jayden and Saylor Vengley and Avery and Ace Hensley.
She was preceded in death by her two late husbands, one brother, Clifford D. Baker, and one sister, Vera Mae Koen.
Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Carthage. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Minister Thad Beeler will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Park Cemetery, Carthage. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Gideons International for Bibles in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W.
