Eddie Morlock

Edward Duane "Eddie" Morlock, age 51, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at his home.

Eddie was born July 23, 1966 in Howell, Michigan, and moved to Joplin as a child and graduated from Joplin High School in 1987. He married Christie Roach on his birthday, July 23, 1988 in Joplin. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2012.

He worked for Truck World after graduating from high school for several years, and then went to work for Peterbilt of Joplin where he was a mechanic and a body repairman for the last several years.

In addition to his wife, Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Harry Morlock.

Survivors include daughter, Heather Ann Morlock of Joplin; mother, Catherine Mitchell and husband Peter of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brothers, Paul Morlock and wife Doris of Franklin, Kansas, and Claude J. Erskin of Baltimore, Maryland; sister, Bettyann Morlock of Sulphur Springs.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Parker Mortuary.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
