Cecil A. Williams (Sonny) age 74 of Joplin, MO, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23, 2017.
Cecil was born to Arlene and Cecil Williams, Sr. on December 5, 1942. He was married to his junior high sweetheart, Jo Ann Crose, on February 21, 1960. They were married for 54 years before she passed on. Before retiring, he worked for Freeman Hospital for 23 years.
People from all over the four states area loved Cecil. He was a genuine person who loved to talk with people and share his wild tales about his life. Cecil was an amazing man and father who lived through the craziest episodes.
He is survived by his children, Kathleen Woolston, Crystal Robinson, James William, and Ron Fenske. He had five grandchildren, Dawn Nazos, Jason Hurwitz, Christopher Robinson and his wife Jessica, Matthew Robinson, and Laura Robinson. He had two great grandsons, Cameron and Chance Clampitt. Followed by his faithful dog “Chip”.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Parker Mortuary Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary on Thursday October 26th.
