Judy Agee

Judith Kay (Greer) Agee, 79, Nevada, MO passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her home in Nevada following a lengthy illness. Judy was born October 1, 1940 in Harwood, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar Warren Greer and Ethel Pearl (Stults) Greer.

She married Stafford A. Agee of Nevada on December 26, 1958 at Clayton Christian Church in Eve, MO and he survives of the home.

Judy grew up in the Eve community attending Pleasant Valley grade school and graduated from Nevada High School in 1959. She and her husband lived in Nevada initially, moving to Kansas City in 1973 and returning to Nevada in 1980. 

Judy worked in retail most of her life until the children were grown. She was a member of First Christian Church in Nevada, was past member of the Nevada Jaycee Wives Club serving as Regional Vice President, also a charter member of the Bushwhacker Squares Square Dance Club, and a longtime member of the Vernon County Historical Society.








In addition to her husband Stafford of the home, survivors include one daughter, Jo Ann (Agee) Kappel and her husband Randy of Nevada; one son, James M. Agee and his wife Shannon of Lansing, KS; two granddaughters, Amy Agee of Webb City, MO, Allison Ware and her husband David of Granby, MO; three great-grandchildren, Keerston, Alivia, and Aiden Ware; two brothers, John H. Greer of Honeyville, UT, and Wayne Greer and his wife Vera of McCallister, OK; one sister, Elaine Millard and her husband Douglas of Wassilla, AK, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; three brothers, Oscar (Jack) Greer, Leo Greer, and Joseph Greer, all of Utah; four sisters, Iva Mayfield of Lamar, MO, Imogene Gruner, Fairbanks, AK, Betty Lance, Ogden, UT, and Joan Lawson, rural Sheldon, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at First Christian Church in Nevada with Pastor Bill Platt and Pastor Hubert Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
