Nancy Lee Harris was born October 23, 1942 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, one of six children to Irving and Dorothy (Czapiewski) Iverson. She entered into rest on April 28, 2020 at Neosho, following a short illness at the age of 77.
Nancy moved to the Neosho area in 1976 from Theft River, Falls, Minnesota. Nancy worked at Pet Milk until it's closure, she had worked at Snak-Atak and then as manager of A and W until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of the VFW in Neosho. She loved to go down there and have a glass of wine and play the computer games.
Nancy's passion in life was to gamble. She gambled cautiously and spent very little, but she loved to go for the excitement. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life and her great granddaughter was her 'darling' for the last three years.
Nancy is survived by three children, daughter, Roxann Pickett and husband, Steve of Neosho, son, Mark Carpenter and wife, Andrea of Winter Garden, Florida and daughter, Sheri Carpenter of Neosho; granddaughter, Jamee (Bill Bruffy)Bunch, grandson, Dalton Carpenter and wife, Caitlin and granddaughters, Kaitlin Carpenter and Macie Carpenter and great granddaughter, Harper Bruffy. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Iven Iverson and sisters, Joann Hurst and Carol Larson.
