Trebie Bartholomew, 69, of Parsons, passed away unexpectedly at 5:21 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2020 in the emergency room at Labette Health in Parsons.
She was born on June 14, 1950 at Oakridge, Louisiana to Josh and Cassie (Ford) Kendricks. She grew up at Rayville, Louisiana and attended schools there.
Trebie moved to Parsons with her family where she worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant and at Elmhaven Nursing Home as an Aide. She retired in 2008.
Trebie enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and was proud of her family and loved them dearly. She attended the Macedonia Baptist Church in Parsons.
Trebie and George Martin Bartholomew were married May 21, 1999 at Parsons. He survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, Trebie is survived by her sons, Leonard Poole, and his wife, Jane of Carthage, MO , Johnny Poole, and his wife, Jessica of Topeka, and Mike Ford of Parsons; her daughter, Lisa Poole of Wichita; 17 grandchildren; Nine Great-Grandchildren; her step-children, John, Jessica and Tiffany; her brother Larry Kendricks, and his wife, Charlie Mae of Olathe, KS; two sisters, Maryann Jamison of Greensboro, NC and Rose Anderson of Parsons; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Private family services will be held on, Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the Oakwood Cemetery with Sister LaDonna Scott officiating with burial following. Friends may come to the Carson-Wall Funeral Home to sign the register from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday. Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with expenses and these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home 112 N. 26th St., P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
