Lawrence "Larry" Dennis Sunby, age 70, of Monett, MO died on Tuesday, June 02, 2020 at Bentonview Park Health and Rehab. in Monett, MO. Larry was born in MN on Friday, April 21, 1950. He was the son of Cyril and Mary (Skrabala) Sunby.
Larry married Tamra Williams on Sunday, January 01, 1984, and she survives. He was a retired truck driver. Larry was a member of the Missouri Black Powder Society and the NRA.
Larry enjoyed tournament shooting, hunting, and fishing. He served over 25 years as a Missouri Hunter Education Instructor. During that time, Larry led numerous hunter education classes in Monett and in the surrounding communities. His knowledge of firearms and easy-going teaching style made him a popular instructor with his students and fellow instructors. Larry's service as an instructor undoubtedly saved lives.

Surviving are the following: his wife, Tamra of Monett, MO; one son, Larry Sunby, Jr. of Foyil, OK; two daughters, Chelsea Conard of Wentworth, MO and Stacy Sunby of Miami, OK; a daughter-in-law, Nicole Sunby of St. Peters, MO; three grandchildren, Mason Conard, Maelee Conard, and Samuel Sunby; and one brother, Gary Sunby of Tulsa, OK.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Mary Sunby; a son, Cody Sunby; and a son-in-law, Kelsy Conard.
Larry has been cremated at his request. There are no services planned at this time.
