(From Parker Mortuary)Robert Lee “Bob” McFarland, Jr., 64, of Golden City, passed away December 4, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Bob was born April 16, 1956 in Vandalia, Missouri to Robert Lee McFarland, Sr. and Nancy (Kurtz) Miller. He was a 1974 graduate of Ruskin High School. Bob served his country in the U.S. Navy. On April 16, 2016, he was united in marriage to Voni Waldo in Humansville, Missouri.
Bob worked as a career truck driver in commercial trucking. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and camping. Bob also loved reading, hobby farming, raising English Mastiffs and dog training. Above all, Bob loved spending time with his family as they were a true light in his life.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Janet Tschannen.
Survivors include his wife, Voni, of the home; his son, Joshua Jones (Tiffany), of Joplin; his daughter, Brooke McFarland, of Grandview, Missouri; two sisters, Rebecca Morrill of Joplin and Lorna Faith (Robert) of McHenry, Illinois; three step-daughters, Michelle Smith of Springfield, Jessica Crawford of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Natalie Murray (Sadie) of Carl Junction; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Per Bob’s wishes, no formal services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
