(From Lockwood Funeral Chapel)Georgia Mae Hare, 81 of Lockwood, MO, gained her wings on March 5, 2023 surrounded by many family members in her last days.
She was born to the late Ormal and Florence Burnett on February 22, 1942 in Lockwood, MO, where she spent all of her childhood.
Georgia was married to the late Buddy Noel Hare, Sr. on June 7, 1958 to which ten children were born.
Georgia is survived by nine children: Marsha Swadley, Lori Hare, Buddy Hare Jr., Lisa Gallardo, Shelly Sanders, Amy Coe, Corey Hare, Jeremy Hare, Jeffrey Hare and their spouses and partners; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is also survived by two brothers James Burnett and Dale Burnett; one sister, Jewel Clark; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Sue Woodbridge; and three sisters, Wilma Pitts, LaVena Hicks, and Frances Hilton.
She was baptized at the age of 8 and her faith in God was unwavering. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Although she bore 10 children she was a mom to many. Her door was always open for anyone in need and always had unconditional love. She always thought about what God would want her to do in any situation.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Collins Cemetery in Lockwood MO. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Lockwood Funeral Chapel. A pot luck dinner will follow the graveside service at the American Legion Hall in Lockwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Colon Cancer. Services are under the care of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
