(From Parker Mortuary)Cassandra D. Phillips, age 45, of Joplin, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Mercy Hospital.
Cassandra was born on October 3, 1978, to Kenneth and Bobbiekaye (Wooden) Phillips, in Joplin. She attended school and grew up in Joplin.
Cassandra was known for her unwavering kindness and the thoughtful way she approached every interaction. She possessed a remarkable ability to lift the spirits of those around her.
No matter the circumstances, she maintained a positive outlook that was both infectious and inspiring, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Cassandra attended Faith Tabernacle and loved spending time with her family by the creek or the local car show cruise nights. Those who had the privilege of knowing Cassandra will remember her as a loving and selfless individual.
Survivors include her parents, Kenneth and Bobbiekaye Phillips, of Joplin; one brother, Patrick Phillips, of Joplin; maternal grandmother, Gerri Wilson, of Joplin; maternal grandfather, Duane Wooden, of California; uncles, Larry Wooden, and his wife, Cindy, of Joplin and Mike Wooden, and his wife, Angie, of Joplin; one aunt, Teresa Ray, and her husband, Walter, of Joplin; and several loved cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the personal direction and care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
