(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Kim Bradford Barton, age 72 of Oswego, passed away at 10:38 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Labette Health in Parsons, KS.
Kim was born on February 3, 1952 to Todd Revard White and Helen L. Longstreet. He graduated from High School in Dallas, TX, and later earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He served his country in the US Air Force for 11 years attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Osage Tribe of Oklahoma. He enjoyed golf, baseball, racing, and activities with his grandchildren.
He was united in marriage with Sharon S. (Becker) Eck on January 30, 1999 in Oswego, KS. She survives.
Additional survivors include one brother, Mike Barton (wife, Nancy) of the State of Iowa; his children, Tara Tyndall (husband, Brad) of Webb City, MO, Tara Foster of Oswego, Jacob Barton (wife, Sarah) of Miami, OK, Jon Eck (wife, Janae) of Oswego, Kenny Eck of Oswego, and Jeremy Eck (wife, Becky) of Wichita, KS; 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way; one niece, and several close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Todd White; his mother, Helen McFadden; and two step-fathers, Howard Barton and David McFadden.
Mr. Barton has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Oswego for cremation. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
