(From Ferry Funeral Home) Frank Livingston Schooley, 87, Nevada, MO passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. Frank was born October 2, 1936 in Nevada, MO to Frank L. and Dora L. (James) Schooley. He married Gaila M. Stafford, and she preceded him in death on October 19, 1977.
Frank graduated from Natoma High School in Natoma, KS with the Class of 1955. He then served in the United States Navy from 1955-1959.
Following his return from the Navy he worked at CBI as a painter for 10 years. In the early 70’s Frank began his own painting business in Nevada and continued with it until his retirement in 2020. He was a member of BPOE Elks #564, and Eagles Lodge #3770 in Nevada.
Survivors include four children: Patricia A. Hancock (Dennis), Nevada, MO, Teresa Morton, Webb City, MO, Larry L. Schooley, Cassville, MO, and Lynn D. Schooley, Nevada, MO; a daughter-in-law, Diane Schooley, Foster, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include four children: Patricia A. Hancock (Dennis), Nevada, MO, Teresa Morton, Webb City, MO, Larry L. Schooley, Cassville, MO, and Lynn D. Schooley, Nevada, MO; a daughter-in-law, Diane Schooley, Foster, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Gaila, he is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Francine M. Schooley; a son, Frank L. Schooley, Jr.; and five siblings, Charles Brown, Jim Brown, Pat Perriman, Jo Ann Engle, and Mary Dagley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
