Frank Nichols

(From Parker Mortuary)

Frank Nichols, 73, passed away on March 24, 2024, in his hometown of Joplin, Missouri. He was born on December 5, 1950, to the late O.F. Nichols and Verna Nichols.

A proud graduate of Joplin High School in 1968, Frank's commitment to his country was evident through his service in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, where he served honorably aboard the USS Hancock.

After his military service, Frank returned to Joplin and became an active member of the community. He was particularly involved with the Joplin Jaycees. His dedication to service was matched by his professional commitment; Frank retired from TDC Trucking in Joplin, where he was respected for his work ethic and camaraderie.

Frank is survived by his sister, Vicki Kramer of Dunedin, Florida; his brother, Bob Hensley of Joplin, MO; his beloved ex-wife and friend, Marilynn Nichols of Joplin, MO.; his niece, Nicole Brooks (Eric), and nephew, Nick Kramer (Sondra Camis), all of Seattle, WA.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Missouri with full military honors.

Cremation arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary.
