(From Bath-Naylor Funeral Home)Dwight Wesley McDonald, age 69, formerly of Frontenac, KS, passed away at his home in Seneca, MO on March 24, 2024.
He was born on May 7th, 1954 to Marlin and Mary (Mulligan) McDonald in Frontenac, MO. Twenty five years later in 1979 he exchanged vows with Pamela Fournet.
Dwight dedicated many years of his life as a terminal manager for a trucking company before happily embracing retirement. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was a member of the Warren’s Branch Baptist Church.
His love for music was evident, often filling the home with country western tunes such as Hank Williams. He was a vivid storyteller always telling jokes and offhand comments spreading laughter wherever he went. Dwight's legacy lives on not only in the memories of those who knew him but also in the laughter and happiness he brought to others.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pamela, along with their four children: Aaron McDonald (Brea) of Little Rock, AR; April May (Derek) of Springfield, MO; Adam McDonald (Brittany) of Loma Linda, MO; and Anne Paylor (Keaton) of Fordland, MO.

Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Mary Cassatt (Gary) of Derby, KS, and three brothers: Mark McDonald of Frontenac, KS; David McDonald of Pittsburg, KS; and Dennis McDonald (Denise) of Haysville, KS. Dwight's legacy also extends through his ten cherished grandchildren: Morgan, Leah, Justus, Titan, Axel, Jett, Knox, Walker, Ella, and Olivia.
Funeral services honoring Dwight's life will be conducted at 10 am on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS, followed by burial at the Frontenac City Cemetery. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9 am to share memories and offer condolences.
