(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Our Mother, Mary P (Massey) Bischoff of Joplin, Mo, passed away March 28, 2024 at the age of 97.
She was born Aug 19, 1926 to Charley and Lizzie (Adams) Massey in Wentworth, Mo. She graduated from Sarcoxie High School in 1945.
She married Raymond M. Bischoff on Feb. 14, 1946 at St. Agnes Rectory on Sarcoxie Prairie.
From this union four children were born. Daughters Becky Bradley, Shirley Adams, Marilyn Judd and son Mike Bischoff. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers (infant Leon Massey, Jessie Massey and Paul Massey, sister in laws Don Massey and Mary Massey, father in law Ben J. Bischoff and mother in law Clara Bischoff, son in law Roger Adams, and grandson Brian A. Bradley.
Mary worked in Peony fields in Sarcoxie Mo in younger years and later after kids started to school in Duenweg Cafeteria, sold Avon, served as room mother, and helped with girl scouts. She was a people person and loved to visit, and was one of the founders and last remaining founders of the Friendly Neighbors Club that lasted more than 60 years. She loved to go to town, eat out, loved new clothes and jewelry, and anything with Bling Bling.
Mom was a sassy feisty stubborn and blunt to the point woman to the very end. She also worked a very loving and caring Mom, we could always count on. She will be missed forever. We want to give a special thanks to all the staff at Arbors at Foxberry Terrace, where she lived almost 2 years. They not only took care of Mom, they truly cared for her. Here last two days were spent at Joplin Healthcare and Rehab with Integrity Hospice, who not only took care of Mom and very caring to us.
Survivors are her 4 children, Becky and (Jerry) Bradley of Diamond, Shirley and (late Roger) Adams of Joplin, Marilyn and (Charles) Judd of Joplin, Mike and (Sharon) Bischoff of Kyle Texas, 15 Grand Children, Brenda (Steve) Schmitt, Mike Russow, Doug (Kayla) Bradley Karrie (Jerrod) Chester, Brian (deceased) (Candy) Bradley, John (Adrian) Russow, Michelle Green, Jeff Judd (Beverly), Ron (Dena) Bradley, Raymond (Michelle) Bischoff, Danny (Stephanie) Russow, Mark Judd, Clay(Sherry Adams, Holly Adams, Heather Wright, 46 Great Grand Children, 36 Great Great Grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers: Mike Russow, John Russow, Danny Russow, Clay Adams, Jeff Judd, Mark Judd, Raymond Bischoff, Doug Bradley, Ron Bradley Steve Schmitt.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Stone Cemetery near Diamond, MO. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the mortuary.
