Cooper DeShields

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Cooper Royce Gene DeShields of Granby, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2024, at the age of 10. Cooper was born on March 4, 2014, in Joplin, Missouri, to Trenton and Jessica (Vance) DeShields.

Cooper was known to all of his family, friends and teachers as a kind, smart, outgoing boy who always wanted to make everyone feel safe and loved. He was also known as the ‘kickball king’ and loved football, listening to music, making videos and riding his bike. He aspired to be an influencer and someday, be famous.

Cooper loved spending time with his siblings and enjoyed being surrounded by his family all of the time. He loved hanging out with his Uncle Keith and Aunt, KK and cousins, Jaydence and Caleb. When he wasn’t with his family, he was with his best friend, Eldon, who was more like a brother.

Most importantly, Cooper loved the Lord and looked forward to church every week and was always up for a new adventure.

Cooper is survived by his father, Trenton DeShields of the home; his mother and stepfather, Jessica and Martin Macias of Webb City; three brothers, Bentlee and Lincoln DeShields and Adrian Macias; two sisters, Blakely and Charlie DeShields; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Christy Brooks of Granby, John and Leona Yaple of Joplin and Richard DeShields of Bentonville, Arkansas; maternal grandparents, Joe and Angela Leblanc of Neosho and Jackie and Luis Rodriguez of Webb City; multiple great grandparents; one great great grandmother and many other family members who loved him dearly.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shoal Creek Revival Youth Group, 30080 Hwy 60 Pierce City, MO 65723.
