(From Knell Mortuary)Walter Arturo Moran Ruiz, 23, Carthage, Missouri, passed away early Sunday morning, October 6, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
Walter was born May 16, 2001, in Juayua, Sonsonate, El Salvador, the son of Joel Moran and Rosa Del Transito. He worked at Sirloin Stockade in Carthage.
Walter loved to play futbol and dance, but most of all, loved his family and friends. He emigrated to the United States to fulfill the American dream, but cancer didn't allow him to live a normal life. He battled leukemia for 6 years and now he rests in the arms of the Lord.
Survivors include his father, Joel Moran; his sister, Regina Guadalupe Moran Ruiz (husband Sergio); his aunt, Hilda Martinez; his girlfriend, Cassandra Hartzler; his caretakers and friends, Mark and Laura Young; two nieces; a nephew; multiple cousins; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Del Transito; and his grandfather, Juan Antonio Ruiz.
