(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Albert E. Brumley, Jr., of Monett, MO, passed away on October 24, 2024, while at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Albert was born on October 11, 1933, in Stella, MO, son of the late Albert E. Brumley, Sr. and Goldie (Schell) Brumley.
Being raised in a musical family, he started his musical career at an early age. He produced and performed on a daily T.V. show in Bakersfield, CA for eighteen years. He then began traveling and entertaining with numerous country music entertainers before opening a show in Branson, MO.
He had numerous highlights in his career such as performing his Father’s songs on the Grand Ole Opry from time to time and performing at the 50th wedding anniversary of former President and First Lady, the late George H.W. and Barbara Bush. He began his gospel music career in the late 1980’s.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Alan Brumley; brothers, Bill Brumley, Tom Brumley, Bob Brumley and Jack Brumley; and sister, Betty (Brumley) Pockrus.
Survivors include his wife, Robba Nell; his daughter, Kimberly Dalbom and husband Bill, all of Monett; three grandchildren, Rowan Brummett, Coleman Brumley and Nathan Washam; fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
