(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Karen Louise Phelps, 79, of Baxter Springs, KS, passed away on October 14th, 2024.
Karen was born on February 18, 1945 to Leslie and Marie Mendenhall in Russell, Kansas.
She worked at Eagle Picher in Joplin, Missouri for 38 years .
Karen went on to have 3 children, Don Phelps, Tamera Wellner & Lisa Black.
In 2013, Karen retired and spent her time Sewing, Crocheting, gardening and doing yard work.
Karen was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her 3 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
