(From Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home)Loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend Jimmy D. Gardner entered into Heaven on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from his home in Kimberling City.
Jim was born August 5, 1946 in Lamar, MO. He shared 57 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sheila (Hayt) Gardner, after taking her as his bride on September 30, 1967, in El Dorado Springs, MO.
Jim was a machinist in fabrication by profession. His interests included being an avid fisherman and coon hunter, a passionate car and antique car enthusiast, and an admired collector of knives. Jim’s adventurous spirit also showed through in his skill as a diver. Jim was a devout man of God. He attended two years of Word of Life Bible Institute in Branson to enrich his knowledge of the Bible. He was a member of Allen's Pentecostal Church in Reeds Spring and faithfully shared his witness with others.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene & Bonnie (Finch) Gardner and his brother, George Gardner.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sheila; his sons Jimmy Gardner, II of Kimberling City and Shane Gardner & wife Lori of Branson, along with his four grandchildren, Shane Andrew Sloderbeck of Omaha, NE, Kaitlyn Gardner of Colorado Springs, CO, Kelsey Galyon & husband Zach of Woodland Hills, CO and Gracie Gardner of Woodland Hills, CO; and two great-grandchildren, Jace and Cecily. Jim’s memory will also be cherished by his sisters Nahwana Maslen & husband Johnny of El Dorado Springs, MO and Karma Curtis & Jack of Carthage, MO.
Services for Jim will be on Friday, November 1, 2024 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson, MO. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am in the funeral home and funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Denny McCrorey officiating. Burial will be in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson with full military honors.
