(From Ozark Memorial Park Crematory)Donald Dwight Younger, born on Jan. 20, 1955, in Webb City, MO. He passed away from a sudden illness on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024. Donald “Don” was the son of Marvin and Norma “Ruth” Younger and was a lifelong resident of Webb City where he raised his family.
On July 3,1982, Don married Pam Byler and was father to Tisha, Eric, Seth, and Desiree. Don worked alongside his father for many years at Independent Gravel Company in the asphalt paving department. He attended Webb City High School and graduated in 1973 where he was a multi-sport athlete.
Don had many friends, enjoyed fishing, watching his children’s activities, and “fish fries” at Scotty’s. Over the past few years Don received incredible enjoyment watching the Kansas City Chiefs win multiple Super Bowls with his brother-in-law John and family.
Don was preceded in Death by his mother and father, his sister, Evelyn Mahurin, father and mother in-law, Pat and Bud Byler, and brother-in-Law Danny Anderson.
Survivors include his wife Pam, his children; Tisha Lilly and Jason, Springdale, AR; Eric Younger and Shandee, Oronogo, MO; Desiree Younger and Rey, Seth Younger, both of Webb City, MO; siblings Ed Younger and Paula, Malvern, AR; Doug Younger and Heather, Aledo, TX; Aunt Sue Friede, Carthage, MO. Additional survivors include family members Brad and Kim Byler, John and Bridget Wynne, Becky Anderson, and his grandchildren Isaiah, Marissa, Fisher, Elika, Ryleigh, Memphis, Gracelynn, and Anastasia.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday October 2, 2024, and Emmanual Baptist Church, 300 N. Pennsylvania St. Webb City, MO with Pastor Kyle Beverlin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery and Crematory, Joplin, MO.
