(From Clark Funeral Home)Rufus Coleman Brown Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri. He was born on November 28, 1940, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, to Rufus Coleman Brown Sr. and Sarah Broadwater. Rufus proudly served in the United States Air Force for 26 years, dedicating his life to his country.
On September 12, 1977, he married the love of his life, Sharon (Werner) Brown, who survives him.
Rufus is also survived by his children: Marty (Crystal) Brown of Billings, Montana; Deanne Prideaux of Great Falls, Montana; Kellie Homway of Springdale, Arkansas; Patrick Mercer of Shreveport, Louisiana; Pamela (Pat) Golemme of Middleburg, Florida; Terry (Annie) Brown of Spokane, Washington; and Kimberly (Dee) Chapel of Belt, Montana. He leaves behind a brother, Milton Brown of Alexandria, Louisiana, a sister, Helen Moore of Florida, 26 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

A visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri, on October 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
