Marlene Parker

Eula "Marlene" Parker, age 90, of Golden City, Missouri passed away October 11, 2024, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood, Missouri.

Marlene was born October 5, 1934 in Webb City, Missouri to Leonard E. Hostetter and Eula R. (Dawson) Hostetter. On May 16, 1955, Marlene married Norman Wayne Parker in Miami, Oklahoma, he passed away in 2021.







Marlene was a hard working farm wife and homemaker. She loved bird watching and would always be cooking up something good in the kitchen to feed everyone on the farm and hosting family dinners. Marlene could often be found at her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's school events and ballgames. Marlene enjoyed Russell Stover candy and Dum-Dum's suckers so much, she could have owned shares of the company. She was a member of the Morris Grove Extension Club and the First Christian Church of Golden City.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Kay (Alan) Stalker, of Golden City, Missouri and Lori Beth (Jody) Gibson, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Courtney (Ryan) Davis and Haileigh (Landon) Heath, all of Ozark, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Aidan Davis, Tucker Davis, Sawyer Davis, Hudson Heath and Landree Heath, all of Ozark, MO; one sister, Donna Dubry of Carthage, Missouri and one sister-in-law, Donna Hostetter.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents; one sister, Phyllis Jean Carey and one brother, Larry Hostetter.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the First Christian Church in Golden City, Missouri, with burial to follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City, MO.








The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2024, prior to the funeral at the First Christian Church of Golden City.
